Laverne suffered from being hit by a car, September 2, 2017.
She was in a vegetative state of coma for 75 months, treated at the Braden River Rehab in Bradenton, FL.
We want to thank all those who cared for her showing love, care, comfort and understanding.
Laverne was a dedicated, loving wife who loved to cook, clean and cartoon art work and loved the Lord. She will be sadly missed by family and friends and Church.
Survived by Husband, James H. Hooks, Bradenton, FL; Brother, Jeff Rubin, Germany; Sister, Cheryl Cokley, Canonsburg, PA; 3 Siblings: Cara M. Barnet, Richlands, NC, William J. Soliday, Irwin, PA, and Stacey Soliday, Punxsutawney, PA. Predeceased by Father, Arnold Rubin and Mother, Marie Lindsay Rubin.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Jan., 28th, 2024 at 3:00 PM at The Family Church in the Christian Retreat Grounds 1200 Glory Way Blvd Bradenton, FL 34212.
