Robert Johnson Obituary

Robert Joseph Johnson, 80 of Bradenton, died August 23, 2010. "Bob" was born on January 10, 1930 in Manchester, NH. He served in the U.S. Army, was a member of The American Legion Post #0321 and a member of Moose Lodge #1223, both of Bradenton. Bob retired from Public Service of New Hampshire. He was originally from Windsor, NH having moved to Bradenton in 1993. After he moved to Florida he worked part time on the maintenance crew at Pleasant Lake RV Re-sort and Westwinds Village Mobile Home Park. He also served as Ranger at Peridia Golf Course for many years. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rita; daughter, Linda Kaplan and her husband, Michael of Clearwater, FL; son, Dr. James Johnson of Corval-lis, OR; grandson, Robert; four granddaughters, Jill, Marcy, Salli, Jamie and two great granddaughters, Lucy and Charlotte. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date at Westwinds Village Clubhouse. Donations may be made in his name to TideWell Hospice, 2504 34th Avenue West, Bradenton, FL 34205.
