Christopher Burdick Obituary
He was born on April 15, 1959, in Coudersport. He was the son of Rodney W. Burdick and Judith A. Burdick, and was married to Nena Prosser, who survives.
Chris graduated from Smethport Area High School in 1977 and went on to work at GKN Sinter Metals in Emporium for 40 years.
Chris loved all aspects of the outdoors. Not only was he an avid hunter, trapper, and fisherman; but he also loved planting, harvesting and sharing his crops. Chris greatly enjoyed teaching what he knew to younger family members and friends. One of his favorite places was his camp at East Branch Dam, where he loved cooking game and spending time with many friends and family.
In addition to his mother and wife, Chris is survived by his son, Andrew Burdick, his daughter, Aimee (Chris) Miguel, stepson Michael Razmann, a very special niece Kaylee Welch, brother Bruce (Christine) Burdick, two half-sisters, Holly (Mike) Reynolds and Kayleen Burdick, father and mother-in-law John and Jean Prosser, brother-in-law Pete (Ce-Ce) Prosser, sister-in-law Kathy Prosser, niece Karla (Joel) Lent, nephew Bryan Burdick, and grandnephews Hunter and Noah Lent. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A Celebration of Chris' Life will be held at the Norwich Township Fire Hall beginning at noon on Saturday. The Rev. Max Simms will be officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Norwich Township Fire Hall or a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be made at www.hartle-tarboxfuneralhomes.com.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes Inc., Smethport.
