Franklin Eschrich Obituary

Franklin J. Eschrich, 84, of 114 Spruce St., passed away Wednesday (Nov. 29, 2017) at the Bradford Manor.
Born May 10, 1933 in Dallas (Rew), he was a son of the late Walter and Pauline L. Dawley Eschrich.
On June 20, 1956, in Cuba, N.Y., he married Elizabeth Clayson Eschrich, who passed away March 25, 2006.
He was a 1951 graduate of Bradford High School.
On Sept. 1, 1953, he was drafted in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged Jan. 19, 1955.
He worked for Bovaird and Seyfang for a time and then worked for Dresser Manufacturing as a machinist and inspector and retired after many years of service.
He, along with his wife, were active participants in the Home Bible Study Group.
He was an avid hunter, enjoyed carpentry, camping and spending time with his family and friends and was a member of the NRA.
He is survived by two daughters, Valorie (Pat) McDonald of Bradford and Monica (Mark) Bond of Holland, Mich.; a son, Andrew (Lynne) Eschrich of Bradford; nine grandchildren, Andy McDonald, Shaun (Anne) McDonald, Bridget (Trever) Schwab, Ben (Julie) Bond, Bucky Bond, Laurel (Kris) Gossan, Colton Eschrich, Bradley Eschrich and Amber Eschrich; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary (Keith) Wright of Smethport and Cora Jean Kirkpatrick of Nampa, Idaho; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Josephine Eschrich, Becky Adolphson and Christine Kirkpatrick.
Friends are invited to call from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., South Avenue, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. with Mr. Dan Helenek officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
Memorial contributions, if desired, can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
