Jack Morrison Sr.

Jack K. Morrison Sr., 89, of Bradford, passed away on Wednesday (June 21, 2023) at his home.
He was born on April 22, 1934, in Carrollton, N.Y., a son of the late Howard and Olive Amsler Morrison.
He was a 1951 graduate of the Bradford Area High School.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who served stateside at the Pentagon during the Korean War until his honorable discharge in 1955.
On Jan. 8, 1958, in Bradford, he married Helen B. Lingaton, who preceded him in death on May 27, 2018.
Jack was a member of the American Legion Post 108. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his dog; Kobe.
He worked construction for a number of years with J.A. Luciano Builders prior to working at the Kendall / Witco Refinery until his retirement in 1997.
He is survived by five children, Jack Morrison Jr., Janice Morrison and Jamie (Joe) Rhoades, all of Bradford, Jeff (CarLisa) Morrison of Westmoreland, Tenn., and Jon (Wendy) Morrison of Stilesville, Ind.; one sister, Leanore "Toots" Rinfrette of Bradford; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife he was also preceded in death by one son, Joseph Morrison Sr.; one granddaughter, Barbara Morrison; four sisters, Beverly Harrington, Donna Miller, Sandy Sheldon and Barb Cross; and one brother, Howard Morrison Jr.
At his request there will be no funeral services.
Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette.
