Joyce Cercone Obituary

Joyce I. Cercone, 84, of 276 East Main St., Bradford, passed away Friday (April 28, 2017) at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.
Born Dec. 22, 1932, in Ludlow, she was a daughter of the late John B. and Mary Jeannette Korb Carll.
Joyce was a 1951 graduate of Bradford High School.
On Sept. 24, 1955, in St. Bernard Church, she married Angelo D. Cercone, who died July 14, 2007.
Mrs. Cercone had been employed at Dresser Manufacturing as a switchboard operator for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading and traveling around the country with her family.
She is survived by a son, Michael J. (Nancy) Cercone of Bradford, a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Cercone of Bradford; two brothers, Albert E. "Gene" (Donna) Carll of Bradford, and Duane E. (Betty) Carll of North Tonawanda, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Jason M. Cercone, Megan M. (Greg) Mittleider, Brandon J. Cercone, Rachel L. Cercone and Amber Reed; one great-grandchild, Mackenna Cercone; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son, Mark J. Cercone.
Family will be receiving friends on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m., and again Tuesday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 372 East Main St., from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time funeral and committal services will be held with the Rev. W. LeRoy Beckes, retired Presbyterian minister, officiating. Burial will be in St.Bernard Mausoleum.
