A devoted math teacher who inspired generations of students with his humor, patience, and genuine care. An undefeated bodybuilding champion (mostly because no one else knew they were competing against him), he was often referred to as the modern-day Jack "LaLame." Known for his impeccable sense of fashion, he provided "advisory services" to Giorgio Armani and was frequently sought after by Hallmark for his eloquent, heartfelt writing. According to his own press releases top NBA talent regularly reached out to him for mentorship.
Although he never received the key to the city (despite several "nominations" of his own making), he achieved far greater things: he made people laugh, helped students believe in themselves, and left everyone he met with a smile on their face and often shaking their heads.
Beloved husband to the late Kathleen (née Militello), loving father of Joseph J. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends he loved dearly.
