Mary Vinca Obituary
Mary graduated from Bradford High School in 1956 and then married her high school sweetheart, Sonny, in June 1957. They eventually moved to Corry and both became active members of St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
Mary was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, community volunteer and faithful friend. She was an active member of the Altar Rosary Society and church choir and helped clean the church. Mary loved spending time with her friends, bowling, playing cards, meeting for coffee, visiting her Bradford family and spending time with her grandkids.
After raising her family, Mary took positions and worked in the cafeteria of Corry High School and Corry Memorial Hospital. Mary enjoyed baking and was known for her apple pies, snickerdoodles, pumpkin cookies, Chex mix and how much she loved to clean.
She is survived by her sisters, Lisa Zurat, Joan Houston and Edith Anderson; her brother, Pat Buccolini; her children, Tim (Sue) Vinca, Keith (Teresa) Vinca, Julie (Steve) Rushin, Lynn (John) Bresnan and Jean (Doug) Volk; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Buccolini and Anna (Fornica) Buccolini; her sister, Argenia Sposato; brother, Rudy Buccolini; and her husband, Eugene A. Vinca.
Family and friends are invited to call 10:30 a.m. to noon Monday (Jan. 8, 2024) at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 203 W. Washington St., where a funeral Mass will immediately follow with the Rev. Thomas Whitman officiating.
Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, St. Thomas Cemetery or St. Thomas Altar Rosary Society, 203 W. Washington St., Corry, PA, 16407.
Arrangements are under direction of Bracken Funeral Home Inc., 315 N. Center St.

Mrs. Vinca is well remembered in her dedication to properly serving junior high and high school students in the CAHS cafeteria for many years. Also remember her lovely daughter, Julie. My condolences to the family.
