Scott Bebko Obituary

Scott Aaron Bebko, of Bradford died all too suddenly while at work Jan. 17, 2024.
Scott was born April 8, 1971, in Erie. He was the beloved son of the late Ronald J. and Peggy Comita Bebko. Scott graduated in 1989 from Cathedral Preparatory School in Erie. He then attended Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, where he pledged and became an active member in the Alpha Phi Omega (ABN) fraternity organization. This was one of the most pivotal and happy times in Scott's life, and where he made lifelong friends.
Scott lived in Richmond, Va., for 5 years, where he worked for Time-Life. After moving back to Olean, N.Y., in 1999, Scott met the love of his life, his wife, Lori. On Aug. 21, 2004, they were married in Allegany State Park. They were each other's best friend.
Scott worked in many trades, with the majority being in sales. He was employed by Bradford Forest Products, Autozone, Walmart, and then found his calling at Keystone Powdered Metal in Lewis Run. He was employed as a CNC operator at the time of his death.
Scott was the epitome of honor, loyalty and goodness. Anyone who met him was better for having the opportunity. His love and expertise at Magic the Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons was legendary.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 20 years, Lori Bebko of Bradford; his mother, Peggy Bebko, and his brother, Adam Bebko, both of Erie. Scott had two daughters who he loved unconditionally, Sadie (Dylan) Shaw of Olean, N.Y., and Camille Bebko, of New Bern, N.C. He is also survived by his five children who felt blessed to call him their father, Amanda Boon of Bradford, Heather (James) Varner of Williston, Fla.; Zachary (Tiffany) Boon of Waterford; Benjamin Boon of Bradford and Kaitlin (Maxwell) Cercone of Longmont, Colo. Scott's greatest joy was being "Grandpa" to 16 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his father, Ronald, and his brother-in-law, Charles Barr.
Funeral arrangements are under direction of Mascho Funeral Home in Bradford.
There will be a private gathering for family and then a public gathering at the Magic Bean in Bradford, which will be announced.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to No Feline Left Behind of McKean County, or to the American Heart Association.

Dear Peggy and Adam, Lori and family,

I am so sorry to read of Scott's passing. Adam, to lose a good brother. Lori, to lose a loving husband. And kids, a father. And Peggy, to lose a son, is simply beyond words. I feel so bad for you, and all the families. It was always a joy to see and treat you all in my office. Great family. One of the last times I saw Scott, as always I was complaining about my back. After the appointment he wanted to crack it for me. He said, "Trust me !". He lifted me up and cracked it into place. Ha!
Good memories. I'm going to watch a Mass for Scott, as well, for all of you. Let yourself know in your heart, that others are sharing your pain. It just takes the breath out of me, Peggy. For now if we can only try to engender even a tiny ray of hope in our broken hearts, then we can believe, God willing, we'll all be united together, glad and forever. And so we pray in Jesus' Name. Amen

RIP Scott

All my love,
Rick Grasso

Scott was my favorite person to talk to at work. We would talk MtG, AD&D, and Classic Rock music. I miss him every day.
