Scott Schrecengost Obituary

KANE - Scott A. Schrecengost, 50, of 403 Toby Road in Kersey, died Saturday afternoon (April 28, 2018) at his residence due to consequences of cancer.
Born May 29, 1967, in Kittanning, he was the son of William and Sharon Fennell Schrecengost. On Oct. 23, 1993 in Kane, he married the former Pamela R. Snyder, who survives.
Scott worked at the Country Fair store in Shippenville, then was manager at Country Fairs in Warren, St. Marys and, most recently, Kane.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clarion and attended other churches as well. He played softball with the Tri-County Church Softball League.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his mother of Mobile, Ala., a daughter Kristin Schrecengost of Clarion, three sons, William Schrecengost of Fairmont, W.Va., and Joseph and Timmy Schrecengost, both at home; and a brother, Jeff Schrecengost in Ohio. His father preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Kane with the Rev. Calvin Cook, pastor, and the Rev. Brad Brunner, pastor of the Faith Baptist Church in St. Marys, co-officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the SSG Kenneth VanGiesen Patriot Award, P.O. Box 507 Kane, PA 16735.

We first met Scott when we moved to Clarion PA in 1980...our families attended the same church, our daughter was in the same grade as Scott and they were like brother and sister....Scott was truly a warrior and fought the good fight..he touched many lives...thank You Lord for bringing this friend into many lives..Patty and Blaine Carlson...
