Virginia Zetts Obituary

Virginia M. "Jinx" Zetts, 91, formerly of Congress Place and Jefferson Street, passed away Sunday (Feb. 9, 2014) at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.
Born March 14, 1922, in Gainsville Ga., she was a daughter of the late William and Kate Soseby Morrison. On April 16, 1946, in Miami, Fla., she married, Cyril "Cy" Zetts, who died on July 17, 1988.
She was a 1939 graduate of Lyman High School. Jinx worked at Corning Glass for 35 years, retiring in 1987.
After her retirement, she devoted her time to a number of worthy causes, including volunteering at Futures Rehabilitation Center, the VNA Hospice, Bradford Senior Center, Camp JJ and Kiwanis Kapers, using her incredible seamstress skills to make the costumes for the shows. She loved to decorate her home for the holidays; the more outrageous the more she liked it. She also enjoyed collecting antiques.
Surviving is one daughter, Mary (Dan) Cukierski of Bartlett, Ill.; a son, Andy (Robin) Zetts of Temecula, Calif.; two grandchildren, Amanda (Nick) Katlin and Matt Zetts; and four great-grandchildren, Blake Katlin and Maysa Katlin, and Morgan Zetts and Miley Zetts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cy of 42 years; three sisters, Gladys, Willean and Jaunita; and four brothers, Floyd, Frey, Pete and Doug.
Family will be receiving friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 33 South Ave., where funeral and committal services will be held at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to Futures Rehabilitation Inc., 1 Futures Way, Bradford, PA 16701.
