Christine Spaulding Obituary
Christine was born July 12, 1979 to Annette (Rougeau) Spaulding and Norwood Spaulding. Christine grew up in Bellows Falls, VT, graduating from Bellows Falls Union High School in 1997. She went on to obtain a degree in Environmental Science in Washington State, and later went on to obtain a degree in nursing from Claremont Vocational-Tech. Christine's true loves were her daughter, Jada Marie Spaulding-Doyle and her niece, Emma Ann Spaulding.
Christine traveled extensively with her mother on historic scuba diving projects throughout the world and locally. They discovered the famous "Elephant Bridge" located between Westmoreland, NH and Putney VT. This historic bridge is where the third elephant that was ever brought to North America crossed in a traveling circus across the Connecticut River with a tragic ending.
They traveled to Peru to participate in a fresh water dolphin research project and ended up helping to build a school in a small village for children.. She was honored with a first place award for her underwater photo featured in SCUBA DIVING MAGAZINE, surpassing hundreds of photo submissions.
Christine's amazing surf casting abilities were regularly witnessed by many on Nantucket Island where she visited regularly and caught numerous stripers and bluefish.
Christine loved people - she enjoyed traveling, meeting people and exploring other cultures. She had a contagious smile and positive spirit and was warm to all people she met.
Christine was passionate about her outdoor activities including, but not limited to, scuba diving, fishing, hiking, kayaking, her horses and music.
The single most valuable possession of Christine's life was her family, her surviving daughter Jada Marie Spaulding-Doyle.; her mother, Annette Marie Spaulding, her brother, Michael N. Spaulding, and niece, Emma A. Spaulding, all of Bellows Falls and Rockingham, VT along with her grandfather Edward Rougeau of Southboro MA & grandmother Joan Rougeau of VT. She was predeceased by her father, Norwood Spaulding.
There will be a celebration of Christine's life at Alyson's Orchard in Westmoreland, NH on Saturday, March 17th 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. For more information on Alyson's please go to www.alysonsorchard.com.
