Cathrine Haviland Baker

1964 - 2019

Catherine Haviland Baker, 55, of Bristol, died Sunday, December 15, 2019 at John Dempsey Hospital in
Farmington, CT. She was born June 14, 1964 in Manhattan, daughter of the late Henry Martyn Baker, Jr.
and Joan (Thompson) Baker and was raised in West Simsbury, CT. She was a graduate of Watkinson
School and Westbrook College (now New England College), Class of 1985, having received her Associates
Degree in General Studies. Cathy's career in insurance included work at Travelers, QBE North America,
and most recently with NextClaim Recoveries. She enjoyed reading, country music, beaches, lighthouses and hot air ballooning.  What Cathy cherished most in life, however, was the time she spent in laughter and love with family and friends.
She is survived by her brother, Stuart G. Baker, his wife Tracey L. Cross-Baker and their children Douglas
and Chloe of Ticonderoga, NY and numerous cousins. She loved them all dearly.
A memorial service will be celebrated at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 21st at the Vincent Funeral
Home, 120 Albany Turnpike (Route 44), Canton CT. Her family will receive friends prior to the service
from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Kidney
