I clearly remember him being a new young priest when I was a little boy in the 70´s. It was a big deal to the older people. We moved away from Silver St and out of New Britain during that time but would continue to see him occasionally at different functions over the years. Last year I saw Monsignor Dan for the first time in a very long time when I was at Sacred Heart Church for an aunt´s funeral just before his retirement. He lived a very distinguished career of service and I´ll continue to remember him fondly as I always have. Those of you who really knew him know how blessed you are!

Msgr was rector at the Cathedral of St Joseph when we relocated to Hartford. He was an outstanding homilist who we thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated as our pastor. May we all take solace in the belief that he is now enjoying his heavenly reward.

I met Dan in 2nd grade at Sacred Heart School.We became friends as we continued attending classe & school activities together.Dan was always a good guy,a nice kid, a life long friend! Even as a young boy Dan was (it seemed always at Sacred Heart Church functions). He was in his element as an altar boy assisting the priests.He knew early on that his future would be a priestly vocation.I could go on & on about Dan.We were all blessed in knowing him as a boy,young man, a priest,a cherished friend.Rest in peace Danny,Rest in peace ,Monsignor, REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND!

I remember Monsignor as a co-celebrant in 1998 at Holy Cross Church. I was confirmed in April of 1998. As Monsignor was giving his homily, to my amazement, I saw a glow encompass him. I tried to shrug it off believing it was just my excitement of the mass, but the glow surrounding him remained a bit longer. I came to believe that God allowed me to see this in his servant Daniel. Monsignor also was the only one who allowed me to cantor at Sacred Heart for over 13 years. Upon one of his last masses where he bid farewell to parishioners after mass, I thanked him for allowing me to cantor at Sacred Heart. He responded that I have such a beautiful voice and said thank you back to me. May God grant him eternal peace in heaven and may all of us see him again when our time comes.
