Lillian Conrod Obituary

BRISTOL

Lillian (Brin) Conrod, 98, of Bristol, beloved wife of the late Irving W. Conrod, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Shady Oaks of Bristol after a lengthy illness. Lillian was born in Bristol on May 3, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Edward and Gladys (Moulthrope) Brin. She was a lifelong Bristol resident who graduated from Bristol High School. Lillian was a proud stay-at-home mother who later worked as a Health Aide in the Bristol School System and in the office at Bristol Eastern and St. Paul High Schools. She was also a founding member of St. Gregory the Great Church, where she was a member and past president of the church rosary society. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Lillian had a lifelong love of needlepoint and knitting, and she shared her beautifully crafted pieces with family and friends. Known for her quick wit and playful spirit, she lovingly referred to herself as the Grandma Princess, a title her family cherished and will fondly remember. Lillian is survived by her four children: Christine Julius and her husband Edmund of Stonington, Kevin Conrod and his wife Susan of Bethel, Jay Conrod and his wife JoAnn of Cheshire, and Nancy Piccione and her husband Paul of Wethersfield. She was a devoted grandmother to her nine grandchildren: Casey DeGennaro and her husband Jake, Paul Julius and his wife Alex, Erin Lynch and her husband Kevin, Nicole Conrod, Kelsey Allonville and her husband Quinton, David Conrod and his wife Amanda Green, Ann Keim and her husband Luke, Christopher Piccione, and Alexander Conrod. She was also a loving great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Vernon Brin and her two sisters, June Mitchell and Shirley Bard, as well as several other beloved family members. A Mass of Christian Burial for Lillian will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, 235 Maltby St., Bristol. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Ave., Bristol. Please visit Lillian's memorial page at www.FunkFuneralHome.com.
