Robert Mankowski Obituary

CANTON

Robert C. Mankowski, of Canton, Connecticut, age 67, will be remembered as a creative talent, and a man deeply committed to his family and friends. Bob passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024 after a fearless battle with cancer. Bob grew up in New Britain and attended Central Connecticut State University for a time, until he decided to take over the family business. Bob successfully ran East Side Welding for many years and earned a great reputation for quality, artisan-level fabrication, and structural welding. In his free time, Bob enjoyed fishing, gardening, and coming up with unique inventions. Bob leaves behind his two children, Katie and Nathan, his mother Jutta of New Britain, sister Marion (Cali) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and brothers Peter of Plainville, Connecticut and Ted of Lafayette, California. Bob leaves behind many dear friends and employees that are too numerous to mention. A Celebration of Life will be held in Bob's memory in the near future. Details will be posted on Legacy.com and on Facebook when finalized. Robert 'Bob' C. Mankowski
