Virginia Brooks Obituary

BRISTOL

Virginia L. (Rosasco) Brooks, 89, formerly of Bristol, widow of William D. Brooks,

passed away on April 11, 2025 at her residence in The Villages, Florida. Born on March 22, 1936 in North Adams, MA, she was a daughter of the late John and Emma (Tallarico) Rosasco. Virginia was an RN and worked primarily at the former Farmington Convalescent Home. She enjoyed square dancing with her husband William, as well as taking cruises together. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. At times, she and her family would go camping together and occasionally Virginia would take a special trip to Vermont or Cape Cod with her eldest son, Michael. While down in The Villages in Florida, Virginia enjoyed singing in, and with, the Charallets. Virginia is survived by her three sons Mark and Diane Brooks of Bristol, CT, Michael Brooks of New Marlborough, MA, and Matthew Brooks and his girlfriend Karen Taylor of Okeechobee, FL; her daughter Michele Brooks-Walentukonis of The Villages, FL; Six grandchildren; Nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Edwin Rosasco and her sister Barbara Dellaquila. A funeral mass will be held on May 1, 2025 at 10 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church, 235 Maltby St., Bristol, CT. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Calling hours will be held Wednesday evening, April 30, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. at DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol.
