Jeff Thompson Obituary

Jeff Thompson, age 68, of Broomfield, Colorado passed away peacefully at home on June 15, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife Pam of 33 years and sons, Scott and Brett. Jeff, a Navy Corpsman with the 1st Marine Division served in the Vietnam War from 1967 - 1970 and was awarded numerous commendations including the Purple Heart. A humble man who served his country with bravery and courage, Jeff faced his cancer with this same resolve. His spirit was an inspiration to everyone. Jeff fought this valiant ten year battle with fortitude, grace and his devoted wife by his side. Through it all, Jeff entertained everyone with his little stories and dry sense of humor. He loved Saturdays with his buddies, sports and his dog Gracie. Most of all, Jeff adored his boys and his wife Pam. Jeff touched the lives of many and will live on in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing him. A memorial service will be held in his hometown of La Porte, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pets for Vets, 409 Black Diamond Drive Wilmington, NC 28411. Please share thoughts, memories and condolences at legacy.com/obituaries/dailycamera

Dear Pam. So sad to hear of Jeffs death. He was a neighbor and good friend from our childhood days in Gadsden. We lived in Edenwood where Jeff and his parents did. We tried to find Jeff over the years without success. We are thinking of you in your loss. Take care.
