Richard Hazen Obituary

Richard Denzler Hazen Sr., 87, of Broomfield, Colorado, went to his heavenly Fatherâ s arms June 7, 2012. He was born in Titusville, PA (2/17/25) to Carl and Grace Hazen. He served in the Army during World War II and made good use of his GI Bill. He was a proud alumni of the University of Oklahoma with a BS in Petroleum Engineering and received a Masterâ s Degree from Penn State University. He was married to Patricia Ann Howell on January 27 1953, his beloved wife for 43 years who passed away in 1996. Those who knew him know that his passions were family, friends, fishing and telling stories, usually about his family, friends, and fishing. He is survived by his five children: Rich (Becky) Hazen, Lynn (Andy) Anderson, Carla Karr, Beth Cleary, and Jim (Lori) Hazen. His grandchildren: Patrick Hazen, Aaron Hazen, Eric Anderson, Richard Hazen, Jennie Anderson Madden, Christopher Cleary, and Grace Hazen. His great-grandchildren: Garrett Anderson, Noah Hazen, Lilly Anderson, Logan Hazen, Connor Madden, and Juliette Hazen. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm on Wednesday June 13, 2012 at the Church of the Holy Comforter in Broomfield. Internment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Broomfield.
