Sylvia Findley Obituary
Sylvia Black Findley, 74, died Thursday September 29, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
She had lived in Richmond Hill most of her life. She was a member of the Richmond Hill United Methodist Church for 57 years actively involved in the Bunny Club for many years, and with the Richmond Hill Recreation Association. She was like a second mother to nieces, nephews and a special friend Robbie Altman.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Everette (ELL) Findley; son and daughter-in-law, Lamar and Pam Findley; two grand children, Michael Findley (Jocelyn), Melissa Neely (Matt); a great grandson, Tyler Findley; and a sister, Christine Black Davis(Richard); several other family members also survive.
Visitation will be 6-8pm Friday October 1, at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel.
A memorial service will be held 11am Saturday October 2, at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Richmond Hill United Methodist Church Bunny Club.
Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Ell, Lamar and Christine, I just found out about Sylvia and wanted to offer my deepest sympathy. My memories of her date back to my days in MYF. She gave so much to the youth of the community and I appreciate the influence she had on me. You guys are like family. If I can do anything at all to help you please let me know. Mrs. Findley we will always love you and remember the great times we had with you. Olivia Faith always loved to visit you and she will always have you in her heart. You will always be her Grandma Findley as well as PaPa Findley. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. We will miss you so very much.
