Charles Ellsworth Obituary

Charles Henry Ellsworth

Marion, Ohio - He found water and he found God.

Charles Henry Ellsworth, 71, of Marion, Ohio claimed the final victory of a 15-year battle with cancer. He made his way home to be with the Lord Thursday, March 11, 2021. Born in Marion, Ohio on November 2, 1949, the son of Samson and Betty Ellsworth. Losing his mother at the age of 3, his father at the age of 18 and his brother Kilroy shortly after. His legacy will carry on in his children, Erin (Chris) Schlecht of Waldo, Ohio, Kristin (Chris) Pfefferle of Hamilton, Ohio, and Chuck (Brittany) Ellsworth of Marion, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan and Drew Schlecht, Cameron, Calvin, and Calista Pfefferle, Samson, Juniper and Penelope Ellsworth, sister Penny Van Meter, and nephews Robert Ellsworth, Eric Ellsworth, Jim Casto, Shawn Van Meter, and Todd Casto.

Chuck was a family friend and a great witness for Christ. He drilled a couple wells for us, and a good many findings for the Lord. God gets all the glory!

I dated Chuck when I was 24 years old and am now 70. He was a funny good guy and has a piece of my heart. I just found out this evening by reading this obituary he had passed. He recently has been on my mind even after no contact for 24 years. I should have gone to visit sometime. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. May God bless them during this most difficult time.
