William W. Coldwell

WEST COVINA, CA.: William W. Coldwell , age 77, died Monday January 16, 2017 at his home in West Covina, California. Born July 24, 1939 in Shelby to Harry William and Mabel Marie (McKibbon) Coldwell he had spent his early years in Shelby and was a 1957 graduate of Shelby High School. He had also resided in Bucyrus and Willard before moving to West Covina in 2015. He was employed with Timkin Co. in Bucyrus retiring as a cup operator. Bill was a member of American Legion in Willard where he had served on the veterans burial squad.

He was a big sports fan who faithfully followed Ohio State and Shelby Whippet football. He had a love for motorcycles all of his life and was especially proud of his Harley Davidson that he had purchased when he was fifty years old.

Survivors include his wife of 55½ years, Carolyn (Noblit) Coldwell; three daughters Schellie (Richard) Cunningham of Plymouth, Scherrie Tuttle of Plymouth and Schirlie (Jay) Baker of Shelby; eight grandchildren, Josh Baker, Jordan Reed, Jennie Cox, Amie Schwaderer, Andrea Mauk, Alyssa Cunningham, Jammie Tuttle and Adam Cunningham; eight great grandchildren and one great granddaughter due in February; one brother Robert (Shirley) Coldwell of Bucyrus and one sister Esther Coldwell of Dubois, PA.; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Patricia Jeffrey.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM Friday January 27, 2017 at the Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend David Sipes officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial expressions may be made to the Richland County Humane Society 3025 Park Ave. W., Ontario, Ohio 44906.
