Dear Symond and Jane
I was deeply saddened to learn of your Father's passing. Despite the obstacles of time and distance, I will forever have many fond memories of him. Among the earliest include having Uncle Al teach me how to interact with your dog Bonnie. As a young boy, a visit to the Jacobson's summer cottage or attendance at a football game with my Dad and Uncle Al always meant time well spent. I will never forget the spirited discussions between our fathers and realize only now how entertaining and educational they were. It is truly the Siegel Family's good fortune to have experienced your father's many marvelous qualities and wonderful sense of living. I extend my deepest condolences to you and your family. I will think of him often.

Al has been a friend for over 60 years since I first met him when he called on my father at Dinty Moore's Restaurant. He was always a gentleman and a good friend. He will be missed.

Sym and Pauline and other family members,
Having grown up on Hickory St, between Broadway and William, I had the occasion to see Al many times over the years. As a kid, my father had a grocery store on William St and Al was there frequently to take my father's order, particularly, during Passover. I will always remember how kind and thoughtful he was to my father as he was to my sister Rose who helped out in the store and my late brothers, Morry and Carl, as he also was to me. I last saw Al at the Buffalo reunion in FL 5 years ago and he was his usual, warm self. Al was a wonderful human being and my condolences go out to all of his family.
