Alfred DOKTOR Obituary

DOKTOR - Alfred M. "Fred" Age 86 of Tonawanda entered into rest Thursday, March 19, 2015 after a long illness, beloved husband of 60 years to Marian Letcher Doktor. Fred was born on June 11, 1928 in Depew, NY to the late Michael and Anna Doktor. He was retired from Dunlop Tire where he was a tire builder. Fred was a proud Korean War veteran serving in the United States Army with the 187 Airborne Division. He was a member of the Rakkasan Assoc., VFW, the American Legion and the Korean Veterans Assoc. Besides his loving wife Fred is survived by a daughter Michelle (Irv) Stowell of Bowling Green, KY; a son Michael (Lisa) Doktor of Wheatfield also many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received on Sunday, March 22 from 2-8 PM at the BRUNNER FUNERAL HOME, (692-3841), 159 Robinson St., North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 AM in the Chapel of St. Francis of Assisi, 73 Adams St., Tonawanda, 14105. Burial in Acacia Park Cemetery.
