April 2, 2023 of Lancaster, NY. Beloved wife of the late Nicholas Gekas; loving mother of Timothy (Kimberly), Brenda (John) Melligan, and Brian; cherished grandmother of Justin, Colin and Sean; Daughter of the late Richard J. and Harriett Pasciak; dear sister of Philip (Kathy) Pasciak, Julian (Beth) Pasciak, Cindy (Mike) Pasciak, Louise (Christopher) Dunevant, late Lawrence and Carl Pasciak; dearest sister-in-law of Mary Sue (Edward) Pasciak; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Barbara was a dedicated registered nurse that retired from Absolute Care of Aurora. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Lancaster Senior Center, YMCA and golf leagues. Barb loved traveling with family and friends, especially her sisters. She was always planning the next trip. Barb loved family get togethers and good times with friends, anywhere she could talk about her grandsons. She will be greatly missed. The family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Monday April 10th from 4-8PM at the DANIEL R. SMOLAREK FUNERAL HOME, 2510 Union Rd. (2 blocks south of William St.), Cheektowaga. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 9AM in St. Gabriels R.C. Church, Elma. Please assemble at church. Private Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Ellicottville.
