Passed away June 22, 2024 with her family at her side after a courageous battle with ALS. Beloved wife of Rainer, dear mother of Laura (Jason) Mitchell and Erik, loving "Oma" of Andrew, Morgan, and Joanna. Sister of Mary Jo (James) Cavanaugh, Elaine (Charles) Means, Eleanor Langdon, and William (Kerrie) Krah. Barbara is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call on Sunday, July 7th from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME INC. 3155 Orchard Park Road. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, July 8th at 10:00am at St. Bernadette's Church, 5930 South Abbott Road in Orchard Park. (Please assemble at the church). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Association. Online condolences at

Dear Rainer, Laura and family, we are very sorry for your loss. We will remember Barb as the friendly, kind neighbor and friend that she was. We are so glad to have known her. Prayers for comfort and peace as you go forward, I have no doubt that her legacy lives on in each of you.
