Ben was a lawyer but he and I had similar colorful interests. He loved playing the guitar and singing. He loved performing. He loved comedians and studied humor. Once we went to see Jay Leno and introduce ourselves to him after the show. We both felt he wouldve tagged along with us if we wanted to do something after the show. There must be some Mutual thing there between us funny people. I miss him very much.

I can't find the words to express how sad we feel for our dear friends who we have known for such a long time. We were as close as family. Ben was cooking us hotdogs for lunch when we came to the twin cities last August. He looked so good. I will never forget when the family visited our timeshare in Orlando and he was so excited to make us coffee before we woke up and whooops he forgot to put a filter in and well you know the rest. Anyway, Janice, Jenny and Judy I just cant imagine the sadness and lonliness you must feel but know this he is with the Lord and you will be united some day. You are all in our prayers and we are always here for you.
Much love, Dick & Pat & Kristen Batt

Janice, Jenny, and Judy. Our hearts go out to you. Ben was a wonderful husband, father, friend, and business man. I knew him through all our talks at work, Janice, and came to know him as a lawyer for us as well. He was ALWAYS so kind, caring and invested in our feelings when we were going through some rough times. He always made us feel so comfortable. He was always there even if I had 1 question or 10 to ask him at any time. He was a great man. You were Blessed to have such a wonderful marriage and Jenny and Judy you were Blessed to have such a wonderful father. He will always be with you and look over you all. Remember you will be united again someday!! I think he would want you to remember that!! Our prayers are with you all including my son's (Michael). Michael was very sad to hear. He was always so caring and acted with kind guidance like a father toward Michael. God Bless you all.

Jan, I had the pleasure of meeting Ben when you and worked together at UB Neurosurgery. You always spoke so fondly of him and it was obvious that you and Ben had a special bond. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

Years back I fell on my face in front of his office. He picked me up, put my broken bike in his trunk and took me home. A friend in deed.

I loved it when Ben would stop by on his Moped to say hello. He was a great golf buddy and an honest and sincere lawyer.
