Bette Patterson Obituary

PATTERSON-Bette D. (nee Schrader) A Church leader, lawyer, and community volunteer who was born on November 27th, 1953 and was raised in Whitesboro NY, lived in the Town of Tonawanda NY and Amherst NY, and passed away October 15, 2007. Bette was the beloved wife of Robert C. Patterson (Chuck) for 28 years and beloved mother of Adam R. Patterson and Raymond J. Patterson. Adored daughter of Herbert and Erma Schrader, and daughter-in-law of Robert C. and the late Margaret E. Patterson. She was the beloved sister of William L. Schrader, Robert L. and LuAnn Schrader, she was predeceased by her sister Barbara Schrader; dear sister-in-law of Kathleen Duffy, Linda and Craig Miller, Lawrence and Jonna Patterson, and Susan and Kevin Kilgallon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and friends. Bette graduated from Whitesboro Central High School in 1971, SUNY at Albany in 1975 and SUNY at Buffalo Law School in 1978, married June 2nd 1979 and practiced law until 2003 in Buffalo New York. She will be remembered for her diligence and loving work with Deerhurst Presbyterian Church where she headed numerous offices and volunteered most of her time. She was the head of the board and volunteered for Ten Thousand Villages of Amherst and a member of Zonta. She will be remembered for spending her summers on Chautauqua Lake with her family and for her love of traveling with her husband around the world. She was loved and will be sorely missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Deerhurst Presbyterian Memorial Fund or American Diabetes Association. If preferred, as she was a stuffed animal enthusiast, donations or stuffed bears will be accepted for Toys for Tots at the service. Friends may call on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 or Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 at the PERNA-PELLEGRINO FUNERAL HOME, 1671 Maple Rd, Amherst, NY 14221. Memorial services will be held Friday at 11 AM at Deerhurst Presbyterian Church, at the corner of Colvin and Deerhurst Park, Kenmore. Interment in Elm Lawn Cemetery.
