Charles J. BENZING Jr.

BENZING - Charles J., Jr. 85, September 9, 2012, of North Tonawanda, NY, at Crestwood Health Care Facility, after a brief illness. Charles an over-the-road truck driver for most of his life. He was an avid NASCAR Fan and Snowmobiler. Charles served in the U.S. Navy during WW-II and the Korean Conflict. Husband of the late Marjorie "Peggy" Benzing; son of the late Charles and Anna Benzing, Sr.; brother of the late Joseph Benzing; loving father of Christina (Frank) DeMart, Charles J. (Lorraine) Benzing III and Cynthia Carestio (Michael Barnard); brother of Carol Zintz (James Mulhollan) and Marjorie (Ray) Wagner; proud grandfather of David (Carin) DeMart, Heather (Timothy) Bronson, Maria (Jeremy) Batt, Sam Benzing, Jamie and Jeremy Carestio; also survived by seven great-grandchildren. Friends received by the family on Sunday, September 16 from 4-8 PM at the Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 17 at 9:30 AM. (Please assemble at the church). Interment will follow at the Church of the Nativity Cemetery in Orchard Park.
