Charles BENZING Obituary

BENZING - Charles J., Jr. 85, September 9, 2012, of North Tonawanda, NY, at Crestwood Health Care Facility, after a brief illness. Charles an over-the-road truck driver for most of his life. He was an avid NASCAR Fan and Snowmobiler. Charles served in the U.S. Navy during WW-II and the Korean Conflict. Husband of the late Marjorie "Peggy" Benzing; son of the late Charles and Anna Benzing, Sr.; brother of the late Joseph Benzing; loving father of Christina (Frank) DeMart, Charles J. (Lorraine) Benzing III and Cynthia Carestio (Michael Barnard); brother of Carol Zintz (James Mulhollan) and Marjorie (Ray) Wagner; proud grandfather of David (Carin) DeMart, Heather (Timothy) Bronson, Maria (Jeremy) Batt, Sam Benzing, Jamie and Jeremy Carestio; also survived by seven great-grandchildren. Friends received by the family on Sunday, September 16 from 4-8 PM at the Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 17 at 9:30 AM. (Please assemble at the church). Interment will follow at the Church of the Nativity Cemetery in Orchard Park. Memorials may be to the Disabled American Veterans group of your choice. On-Line Register Book and Obituary can be found at www.brunnerfuneralhome.com.
