Charlie, you were one of my favorites. Always had a smile on your face. How can I forget those mornings when you would either order a poached egg with rye toast or scrambled eggs "real loose". I'll never forget when I was having a bad day at work, you looked at me as you were walking in and said "I know it, kid". You will be missed a lot. Row 2, Table 1 will never be the same.

We used to exchange stories about Behm Rd. My Grandma used to say on the way up the hill in the middle of winter...if you can make it up to Charlie's house...you can make it home. My heart goes out to the whole family. I'm so sorry for your loss. Charlie was a great man and won't soon be forgotten.

My greatest sympathy goes out to the Kohler family,
I am sorry that Charles had to leave us for now. He
has been a great inspiration to me and many people
at Orchard Heights. I will miss him very much, he
always gave great advise on how to handle different
situations, his charm and wisdom will not be forgotten.
My prayers are with all of you.

Hey Charlie, you checked out before we got to have that drink! We will have to meet up later on. We will miss you. You made us all laugh! It has been a pleasure! What will we do without 'the judge' in the house at Orchard Heights!

To the family of Charles Kohler
My deepest sympathy for your loss. He was my favorite resident at Orchard Heights. I called him Judge, he used to get the biggest kick out of that. I will truely miss him.

Charlie will always live in my memory and heart as one of my favorite residents. It was an honor to know and care for him over the last two years as director of nursing. My love and sympathy to the family.
