We have been to many BPO concerts this past year. I often think of Chuck and Norma sitting together at Kleinhans at intermission when we would chat and "catch up" with each other. That always made for a more enjoyable concert experience for us. The love of great music says a lot about a person...

It was a pleasure to play for such a caring, strong, and devoted coach at Canisius College. He believed in us even when the odds were stacked against us. May he rest in peace.

I had the opportunity to play for coach at Canisius my junior and senior year. I greatly appreciated and respected his approach to the game. I remember "Coach Arms" repping out on the bench press with 225lbs. He also used to tell us lineman to make sure we didn´t come to camp with an "Old Milwaukee tumor." He wrote me the kindest letter of recommendation when I graduated. He was influential in my path towards education and more importantly as a person. I am always grateful for the opportunity he provided me to play a game I love. I hope there is football in heaven because I know coach will help the team. Coach and his family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,
Casey Kosiorek

Coach Williams has been honored and captured on both our NT Coaches and our NT Football windows at the North Tonawanda High School Wall of Fame. We also made sure to memorialize his NT Defense rally cry "Wild Bunch" a phrase meaning so much to so many NTHS Football players. We hope the Williams Family will know how much he meant to us...

My heart just breaks for all of you. Chuck was such a wonder husband, father grandfather and friend. He always loved to tell stories about you his family and was so proud of all of you. His undying devotion to Norma is something fairy tales are made of. The sadness he felt when he wasn´t able to visit her was written on his face when he talked about her. Prayers and love to all of you. Maybe he can do something about a Bills Super Bowl visit and win this year. Xoxo

We shared a passion for good science teaching at NTHS, and also for the wonderful music of our BPO at Kleinhans where we would often meet Chuck and Norma at the Pops concerts. Fond cherished memories.

"Coach Arms", was so much more than that. He was a life mentor and an shining example of a man that treated everyone with dignity and respect. I was sorry to hear of his passing from my teammates at Canisius. On behalf of the Canisius defense that he coordinated, we send our heartfelt condolences to his family and we were very fortunate to have played for him. "No pain no gain", RIP COACH, Vavo

I played football for coach at Canisius for three years. My sophomore year in 1977 was his first year at the school. Great coach, and a better man. Had a passion for football unlike most. After college I worked at a health club, where coach Williams and his wife used to come in and work out. He will be missed. Rest in peace coach.

Mr. Williams was a great teacher. A sense of humor, seriousness, and so much respect toward students. Always admired him for those qualities. One of the good guys, one who leaves a legacy of stories and a legion of friends and admirers.

Coach" Williams had an extremely positive influence on me while I played football for him at North Tonawanda High School. I had never played organized football until Jr year and he helped mold me into both a better man and he prepared me to play college football. He saw more in me than I saw in myself. He coined the NT defense rally cry "Wild Bunch" when we broke huddle, and that phrase is know by anyone who ever played for him. We even had "Wild Bunch" tee shirts made. He was a motivator and a defensive genius who created written scouting plans way before most coaches at any level wrote out the plans for their players. I called him when it was announced in USA Today that he had been named Head Coach at Canisius College and as I recall the conversation, I was more excited than he was. Thank the Lord I had lunch with him last year and called him every so often to talk about the "good old days". I know he missed his wife dearly as she was in a Nursing Home this past year and he also adored his grandkids - bragging about them as any proud grandfather would. Although he was a "tough love" kind of guy, I grew to love Coach Williams as a role model and mentor. Rest In Peace Coach.
