Of South Wales was welcomed into heaven on Wed, Mar 25. b. Sept 17, 1939 in Buffalo; g. 1957, Iroquois High School, Elma. David married Moira (nee Harrington) on May 5, 1962. Together they built a home and raised their family in South Wales, NY. David had a varied career with Eastern AI, Cornell Extension 4-H, teaching at B.O.C.E.S. East Aurora and Iroquois High School, home construction with his sons, Markar, and the Town of Wales. In all his work, integrity and respect for others were always his prime concern. David's faith in Christ remains an enduring testimony to his family and all who knew him. David was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Moira; and parents Richard and Caroline (nee Cole) Lane. He is survived by his siblings Peter (Linda) and Virginia Erickson; his three children, Brian (Stacey), Michael (Leeanne), and Margaret "Geordie" (Marc) Stanley; 10 grandchildren with their spouses and 19 great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, we invite friends to donate to either Hospice Buffalo or the South Wales Fire Dept.
