Doug, i may not of ever met you but i know alot about you. I have been in Sharry and Tonya's life now for 8 years now. I have heard so much about you and the man you were and are in thier lives still to this day. They all have spoke very highly of you and the memories they have of you. I feel like i know you just from all they have said about you. I just wanted to let you know that im sorry i never got to meet you but i want you to know that im keeping an eye on them for you. You still are in thier minds hearts and in everday since you passed. God bless the family of a wonderful man. The world has lost a true gentleman.

To the family of Doug Robinson. It is just recently I heard of Doug's untimely passing. It is so hard to believe, he was such a warm and caring human being. I worked with Doug at Children's hospital and he was ALWAYS there for any thing we needed done and with a smile on his face. Never once did I see Doug in anything but a good mood and he took every opportunity he could to mention his wonderful family. I can see by the notes in this guest book that he was indeed a great guy and brought happiness and great memories to all that knew him. We were all so sad when he left Childrens but he took the time to come around to each department and say good bye, "it has been great working with you". Well, friend, it was great working with you as well. To Sherry, let me tell you, the days, months and years ahead will be long and hard but you have shared a life that most people only dream of and you will always feel Doug's presence in your life. As the pain eases, you will spend many an hour remembering and laughing for you have a bank of memories most women would envy. Your time was cut short but it is obvious that it was wonderful for the time you had together. Remember: sorrow is not forever, love is.

Sharry, We are so sorry about your loss. We will miss him day by day but expecially in the summer at the boat Where we had a lot of laughs. Every time we plug something in on the boat we will be reminded of doug. He was a very smart man he new how to fix everything. Doug, me and my mom miss you very much. There is not a day that goes by that we dont think about you, aunt sharry, tonya and everyone else. my favorite memory was when my dad stayed over last memorial week in 2007 and it took my dad 8 hours to cook the chicken on the grill, and he blamed uncle doug because he cleaned the grill too good :D that was a fun day :D uncle doug i know your watching over aunt sharry and the kids and always will be :D i'll never forget you.

I MET DOUG WHILE WORKING AT CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL BACK IN 2001...I WILL NEVER FORGET HIM WALKING FROM THE BUS STOP AND STOPPING TO INTRODUCE HIMSELF TO ME IN THE "ECKERD PARKING LOT", AND FROM THAT POINT ON, HE ALWAYS SAID HI... Sharry and kids;
It has taken a few days to write in here. It is one of those "I can't believe this really happened" deals. Mike talks about Doug at different times and I start getting all upset. They had many great memories, which we know some of them. We love you forever and want you to remember we will always be "there" for you and the kids. Doug was a one of a kind,loving,thoughtful,my support when Mike got sick. I do love you Sharry and I love Doug too. He will truly be missed.God bless you and all the children. doug I love and miss you so much.Things are just not the same without you.You are the one who completed our family.You have always been a father to me and I love you so much for that.There is not a day that goes by that your not in my thoughts,I miss you so much.Sarina misses you so much also she asks about you everyday and says how she wants to see you.We pray every night for you and she knows you can hear us and I think thats what keeps her and I going. Dear Sharry & Family - I can't begin to express how sorry I am for your loss. I'm going to miss him so much. He was such a good man. He always thought of others and when the chips were down, he could always make you laugh. Although he's not with us anymore, take comfort in knowing that you and Doug had something that some people search a lifetime and never find it. And I know you're sad and feel as thou life has little meaning without him. But remember whenever you're feeling lonely or sad, look to your heart Sharry and Doug will be there waiting to guide and comfort you. People leave us but their memories never do. I am so sorry for your loss. I met Doug 5 years ago when I started at WCHOB. He and I were the only 2 people that showed up for a lunch with the hospital president. I immediately liked him. I was new and he made me feel welcome. I enjoyed interacting with him over the years on various projects. He was always friendly and had a smile on his face. God Bless.

I was lucky to have worked with Doug on a few projects here at WCHOB. I will always remember Doug as gentle, professional, with kind words to all, and am sadden by the loss his family is feeling. He left a lasting impression on all who worked with him. You have my prayers-

I knew Doug from Women & Children's Hospital. He was a wonderful person. Doug would always be available to lend a hand whenever necessary. He was willing to help and would never complain. He will be greatly missed.

Lyle and Heather-dispite the sad circumstances, it was wonderful seeing both of you. I know that your dad was so proud of you. When we would talk at work, we always did a run down of "the kids". It was strange to put your adult faces to the children we remembered!
Sherri-although we did not know you well, the fact that Doug loved you was more than enough to make you part of the BGH family. He was a great guy and a really fun person to be around. He will be missed.
