We always remember Ed! One of the nicest men we have ever met. Not only did he sing at our wedding, but he showed me how to use a new meat thermometer for grilling. Every time I use it, I remember this special person! Sorely missed!

Lydia and Family,
I think of Ed each and every day and consider his impact on our family. He had a wonderful sense of humor, love for his family and friends, love for Tuskegee University his Alma Mater, and was generous with his time and resources. Ed was intuitive and keenly intelligent. He demonstrated a moral compass, and was uniquely qualified to lead and succeed. Ed wanted so much for all of us - Good health and happiness, too.
It only seems like yesterday, though it has been six years! Often, I pick up the phone to call, especially on Sundays, but he is not there. We will always miss his visits to raise money for Tuskegee during their Homecoming Week and to play in their golf tournament which was held during the first week of November. He led an effort to raise $1million dollars for their Engineering Program. As you know, since he left, our sister Vivian has joined him and they are both now resting in the arms of Jesus. The knowledge of this fact brings me some peace.
Love you Forever Ed.
Your Sister,

6 years have passed, as time marches on. The passing of time never left behind our next door neighbor, Ed Watts. He is remembered regularly in this household. We were blessed to know him and Lydia, two wonderful people who graced us with their warmth and hospitality. When the phone rang this summer and it was Jonathan calling to inquire if we might help him find Green Bay Packer tickets to help complete his bucket list, we couldn't hustle fast enough. A smile crossed my face during the call because Ed would have thought, wow - pretty cool. You are missed but never forgotten!

Lydia, you are in our thoughts and prayers, Ed will be truly missed by all.
He will always be remembered for the kind loving person he was. We will never forget the day the doorbell rang and there was Ed with a bottle of wine and he just said "I was thinking about you both" so I brought this for you to enjoy. This was Ed kind and thoughtful.
He left his kindness and love with so many, he will be truly missed by all those his life touched. Love Colleen & Tyrone

To the Watts Family: Please accept my sympathy for your loss. I have known Mr. Watts for many years as he worked with me when I was a contracting officer and I always appreciated his professionalism. More than that, he was a gentleman of quiet sensibility and humor, even when we did not agree. He was tireless in his advocacy for his business and the standards he upheld. He will be missed.
