Dear Sarah and Cassandra,
I was very saddened to read about the loss of your grandfather. He was a very special man. I worked with him back in the late 60s at Cornell Aeronautical Laboratory. I currently reside in Florida but check the Buffalo News website from time to time. I must say that I was saddened to learn of your grandmother's passing and shocked to learn about your mother. She was just a young girl when I worked with your dad.
His quiet demeanor but wonderful sense of humor, and most especially his great patience will always be what I remember most of him. I was just a young woman of 22 years of age (and not a very good secretary) but he tolerated my inexperience. His kindness inspired me to move on to bigger and better things and over the years I ended up working as the Public Relations Coordinator at Cornell/Calspan and then moved on to a fundraiser and regional director for the United Way and my last career "stop" before I retired was as the Director of Development for Holy Angels Academy. I am now retired with my husband and living in Florida. My maiden name was "Hensley." I am now a mother of one son and grandmother of three beautiful girls.
I hope you have many fond memories to hold onto as both your grandmother and grandfather were lovely people.
With deepest sympathy, Joni Hensley Williams
