Passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of 67 years to Carole (nee Rose) Vukelic; devoted father of Mary Ellen (Jim) Sullivan, Paul (Amy Vossen) Vukelic, Suzanne (Tim) Mahoney, Timothy (Shelby Deck) Vukelic, Jeffrey (Elaine) Vukelic, Peter (Eric Kuhn) Vukelic, Matt (Heather) Vukelic, and the late Gregory Vukelic; loving grandfather of 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; dearest brother of Jack (Christy) Vukelic, Paula (late Dave) Storey and the late Stephen (Mary Ann) Vukelic; he will be sadly missed by many cherished nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Gene was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and Owner of Try-It Distributing. No prior visitation. Family and friends are invited Friday, August 8, 2025 at 10 AM to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at the Our Lady of Victory National Shrine & Basilica, 767 Ridge Rd., Lackawanna, NY 14218. Interment held privately. Sincere condolences to the Vukelic family! In my 34 years with AB distributor, I never met a more respected person than Gene, always was a pleasure to talk to him sharing his beer knowledge at local/national

My father and I were fortunate to know Gene through our mutual membership in the Buffalo Executives Association. Dad and I respected Gene as a man and a businessman. My father has been gone almost 20 years now and I have seen too many of his contemporaries pass away in those years. Their generation was one of the pillars of the WNY business community and they will remembered and sorely missed.

Truly a man among men. Gene always had your name at hand and kind words were his strong point,in friendship and in a business setting. Our society is going to muss a man like Gene. We definitely could use a lot more like him.
