Eugene F. "Bud" WEIMER

WEIMER - Eugene F. "Bud" August 19, 2011 of Hamburg, NY, beloved husband of Elaine (nee Weinheimer); cherished father of Suzanne (Steven) Desmond and Laurann (Randy) Perino; devoted son of the late Margaret and Isidor Weimer; loving brother of the late Robert Weimer and the late Elizabeth "Betty" Delaney; also survived by six grandchildren Francis, Tyler, Lucas, Brady, Zoey and Maxwell. Gene attended Fredonia State University and worked for 36 years at the Ford Stamping Plant as an Engineer in the Tool & Die Office. He was predeceased by his first wife Ruth (Weber) Weimer, mother of his 2 daughters. In addition to working at Ford, he was instrumental in keeping the family business Heintz & Weber Co. running for his daughters. Gene was a proud veteran of WWII serving in Japan. His interests included photography, word searches and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed a spirited political debate. He will be greatly missed by all those who were touched by his kind words and generous heart. Friends received at the LAKESIDE MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4199 Lake Shore Rd (corner of Camp Rd & Rte 5) Hamburg, NY 716-627-2919 on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's of the Lake Church at 10 AM.
