Frederick Sachs Obituary
1941 - 2023
December 27, 2023. The scientific community mourns the loss of Frederick Sachs, a distinguished American biologist and SUNY Distinguished Professor in the University at Buffalo's Department of Physiology and Biophysics.His many awards included a nomination for the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2011. Beyond science, he enjoyed playing banjo, kayaking, and building metal sculptures. He is survived by his wife;Jane Jacobson, his children, grandchildren and two brothers.
