Of Cheektowaga, NY. Beloved husband of 71 years to Theresa (nee Rymarczyk); loving father of Michael, Carl (Donna), and Cindy (Chris) Herman; cherished grandfather of Christopher, Denise (Tyler), Allison (Sean), Andrew (Catherine), and Valerie (Patrick); DziaDzia of Cecelia, James, Brayden, Aurora, Madelyn, and Emmitt; predeceased by three brothers; also survived by nieces and nephews. George was a proud US Air Force Veteran. He was also the head usher at Resurrection Church and very active with the Cheektowaga Seniors and Meals on Wheels. The family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Wednesday January 22nd, 2025, from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM, at the DANIEL R. SMOLAREK FUNERAL HOME, 2510 Union Rd., Cheektowaga (two blocks south of William St.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM, in Resurrection R.C. Church, Cheektowaga. Please assemble at Church. Interment in St Matthews Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Please leave condolences online at www.SmolarekCares.com.
