Doebler, Helen R. (nee Barbas)

Of East Amherst, NY passed away peacefully at the age of 93. Beloved wife of 63 years of the late Robert Doebler, daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth Barbas, devoted mother of Amy (Gary) Nelson, Laurie (Brian) Dentinger and the late Beth Ann Doebler Wzontek. Loving grandmother of Gregory Nelson, Dianna (Rick) Farchione, Allison Dentinger and Erika Dentinger and great grandmother of Ella and Jack Farchione. Sister of Sue (late Joseph) Toth and the late Richard (late Jean) Barbas. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Helen graduated from Tonawanda High School in 1949 and devoted her life to her family, friends and home. She enjoyed cooking, decorating and hosting dinner parties. While in her 50's, she started her own floral arranging business, The Flower Basket. She was a lifelong member and volunteer at Salem United Church of Christ and an active member of the Amherst and Clarence Senior Centers. A Celebration of Helen's Life will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Salem United Church of Christ, 114 Morgan St., Tonawanda, NY. A private burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Salem United Church of Christ. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.ROTHFUNERAL.com.
