James Lombardo Obituary

Lombardo, James "Big Jim"

Sep 12, 2024

Beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away at his home on September 12, 2024. Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, Jim also spent parts of his life in Massachusetts and Maryland, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him. Jim was a skilled auto mechanic by trade, but his true passions lay in his hobbies. He had a talent for woodworking and sketching, always creating with his hands. He deeply enjoyed his grandkids and all the time we was able to spend with them. Jim is survived by his five children: Andrew (Liz), Angelina (Ed), Natalie (Jose), Jimmy Jr., and Alicia. He leaves behind nine cherished grandchildren: Einin, Camryn, Courtney, Nicole, Eddie, Zachery Jr., Allison, Caytelinn, and Liahnna. His family and friends loved him dearly and will miss him deeply. A memorial service will be held by the family on October 12, 2024. The family kindly requests no flowers or donations, but those who wish to offer condolences may contact his son Andrew for details.

To All of Jim´s Family, I am so sorry for your loss. You have all of our Condolences. Jim was so special to all of us. He loved to come to my Mom and Dad´s for coffee, he always said it was the best. He was always there for anything that we needed. He truly would give his shirt off his back if you needed it. We have known Jim since prior to his Niagara Fargo days. I am truly devastated by His Loss. I had been trying to call him, after our last conversation and once the phone was off, I did not have Andrew´s number to check on him. May He Rest In Peace. He will be so truly missed. I am sure he is with my Mom and Dad, drinking coffee. I pray that God is bestowing peace and comfort to all of his Family. Jim, you did it your way, always and I loved you for it. God Bless. Love, Cheryl, Dennis, Sarah, Lance, Mike and Brianna Halpin (Carbone)

Jim and I lived nest door to each other on Fargo Ave. we were more than friends I considered him family. From our teenage years, filled with mischief, but always great times Jim and I stayed in contact with each other. Always someone you can count on, he would give you the shirt off his own back! Farewell my friend!
