Jeffrey Cuenin Obituary

Cuenin, Jeffrey Alan

July 20, 1959 - March 22, 2024

Jeffrey Alan Cuenin was the second of four children born to Robert and Lorraine Cuenin in North Tonawanda, NY. He graduated from Sweet Home High School and began a long and successful career at Eastern Shaft & Manufacturing. When he wasn't working, Jeff was an adventurous athlete. He spent his down time riding dirt bikes, rollerblading, playing tennis and racquetball, water skiing, windsurfing, scuba diving, snowboarding and was even known to ride a unicycle. He loved to play poker and blackjack and had a deep appreciation for music, particularly vinyl records. Jeff's family grew when he had his daughters: Jessica, Amy, Heather, and Amber. He engaged his four girls in all his beloved activities, ensuring they knew how to play poker for pennies, shoot clay disks, properly scuba dive in a hot tub, sing every Beatles song, and master ping pong and darts. Jeff was an exceptionally fun dad who filled their time with treasured experiences and lasting memories, instilling in them the same love of adventure and fun that filled his life. In his later years, Jeff spent his time in Lancaster, NY and Melbourne, FL with his fiancé, Nancy Salzmann. Jeff and Nancy enjoyed biking, traveling, spending their weekends at the lake, visiting his father, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. They had a long and loving relationship that brought great joy to Jeff's life. Jeff is survived by his fiancé, Nancy Salzmann, his father, Robert Cuenin, his daughters, Jessica (Casey) Ewald, Amy Cuenin, Heather (Scott) Baxter, Amber (Zack) Imboden, and their nine children. He is also survived by his sister Wendy (Gary) Penke and their children Nicole, Tara, and Todd. Jeff is predeceased by his mother, Lorraine Cuenin, and sisters Kathy Cuenin and Susan Cuenin.

Jeffery,Jeffery,Jeffery. How could you? Our friendship wasn't supposed to end this soon. You are already missed.I will never forget the many good times we had together. Riley Gear,partying,boating,partying,water-skiing,partying,snow skiing, partying, and bars. And later visiting at the lake: beer,subs,corn-hole,music and fires. I will remember the good times we had together till MY last day. I'm guessing your aches and pains are gone. "We're here for a good time not a long time." And friend we had many good times. From me and all the guys at R.G., rest peacefully Jeff. Your forever friend, Paul Rados

Dear Jeff's family.....what a shock.....he was our neighbor at Willow Beach.....he helped my hubby and I thru lots of times when we needed him......we met Nancy and his daughters.....my vision most vividly was he had his cooler with muscles or the like and a knife sitting in our backyards, enjoying them......he was a very ambitious guy.....his obit reads well as you can see he enjoyed life....taken much too young.....he loved his girls, he talked about visiting his Dad......we would go to Artpark, together....all the good things in life he did and for good reason, he died too young.....my sympathy.....Dave will greet him and they will send smoke signals of the things they are up to....the sky might fall as that is a big load of fun up there.....remember the Love, mourn the loss.....Celebrate Jeff's life......hugs, Gail Blain, (Dave, heavenly)
