On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, after a long illness, John Anthony Catania passed peacefully at the age of 80. John is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lorraine Catania, their daughter, Kim Catania, and his sisters Mary Ann Buckley and Patsy Koneski. John was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, and graduated from Seneca Vocational High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. John started his highly successful management career in retail sales for Sears, Roebuck and Company. In the mid-70s, John and his family relocated to California. He held several management positions in the high-tech industry, including roles at Hewlett-Packard and Advantest R&D Center. John loved football and never missed the annual NFL draft. He enjoyed singing and spent many happy times at baseball games with his daughter, Kim. John also authored two books, 'Pocketful of Magic' and 'Jurassic Planet'. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
