Husband of Nancy Reed Violand; former husband of Mary Lou Finnegan Hooper; son of the late Lawrence and Margaret (nee McEneany) Dempsey; father of Jack (Claire) Dempsey of Edina, MN, Carol Ann Hill of Amherst, NY, Terry (Vickie) Dempsey of Cedar Park, TX, Kevin (Kelly) Dempsey of Spring Hill, TN, Maureen Dempsey (Paul Moskal) of Orchard Park, NY, Karen Dempsey (John Commisso) of Cambridge, MA and Megan Dempsey (John Sigeti) of East Aurora, NY; father-in-law of Joseph Hill; step-father of Kathy (Larry) Blind, Tom (Gail) Violand and Scott (Jane) Violand; brother of Donald (Carol) Dempsey of Tonawanda; late Patrick (late Joyce) Dempsey of Angola and the late Lawrence (Mimi) Dempsey of Hamburg; grandfather of 15 grandchildren. Funeral Services Friday at 10:15 AM from the SIECK, MAST & LESLIE FUNERAL HOME, 250 Orchard Park Road, West Seneca, 825-5205 and in St. John Vianney Church at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Family will be present at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00-7:00 PM. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Jack's name to the Little Sisters of the Poor or Hospice Buffalo, Inc. Interment In Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements by O'CONNELL-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME.
