Dear John and family:
I am so sorry to learn of your Dad's recent death. I well remember him and your Mom from the many times here at CHS. May he rest in peace! I was out of town and only now learned of his passing. May he rest in peace! Be assured I shall pray for him and remember him in my Masses.
If ever in Buffalo, please call me here at Canisius HS.

My cousin sent me your father's death notice. I worked for him in 1954 to 1960. He taught me what I know about law and made me a good legal secretary.

OUR DEPPEST SYMPATHY TO ALL THE FAMILY OF THE LATE JOHN & RITA HEFFERNAN. I AM THE DAUGHTER OF A PAST VERY DEAR FRIEND OF YOUR PARENTS. MY FATHER WAS PATSY DECOLLIBUS. WE LIVED ON GODFREY ST. MY FATHER WAS THE BUILDER OF YOUR PARENTS HOME AND ALSO A CLIENT AND OUR WHOLE FAMILY WAS VERY FOND OF YOUR PARENTS AND WAS YOUR PARENTS FOND OF MINE. MY POP PASSED AWAY 21 YEARS AGO AND MOM I YEAR AGO. THEY HAD LIVED IN CALIF. SINCE 77.BUT HAD NEVER FOREGOTTEN THE FRIENDSHIP THEY SHARED. AGAIN I AM VERY SORRY FOR ALL THE FAMILY.
