Debbie,
This is a friend from way, way, way back. I just saw the notice about your dad and I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom and dad were so kind to me when I was young.
My heart goes out to all of you.

My deepest condolences to Barbara and the entire DiCarlo family.

My mother and Barbara were best friends since elementary school, and because of that our families shared many years of friendship and memories together. I was very sorry to hear of Joseph´s passing and regret that I was unable to attend the services.

Growing up, we knew Mr. DiCarlo both as a wonderful teacher at Cleveland Hill and as a truly kind and gentle man. Even though he knew our family personally, he always treated us just like every other student in class, with fairness, encouragement, and kindness. I also remember summers when he would help with tennis lessons, sharing his love of the sport with so many young people.

The DiCarlo family was always so welcoming and generous to ours. With Thomas, Debbie, and Kathy, and the three boys in our family, there were many memories from those years that I will always be grateful for.

Mr. DiCarlo was a sweet-mannered man who left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Please know that you and the entire DiCarlo family are in my thoughts and prayers, and that our family will always remember the kindness your family showed to ours.
