Joe was a wonderful man. He was big and strong but gentle and kind. He was my mentor and friend and he was very fair and honest and very knowledgeable. Always had a smile to greet you and was great to talk to. I still miss him and would love the chance to speak to him one more time. I'll never forget speaking to him when he lost his daughter to cancer. He was devastated. I tried desperately to comfort him but he only thought of me and what he could do to help. He was a rare breed and I will always miss and love him.

Thinking of everyone today, especially my sister-in-law Fran. The love you and Joe shared was special and rare... I'll never forget the look of deep love, pride and devotion in Joe's face as he shared his story of meeting Fran at age 12 and knowing she was the girl he would marry. His face would light up with the biggest smile possible and his eyes would water a little.... probably a lot of us have heard that love story and will remember it always.

Know I am there in spirit today.

Love, Kim Rinaldo

Craig, Carolyn & family,

It was with great sadness that I learned of Joe's death. He left a lasting impression on me and I know he was loved and respected by many. I hope that you can find some comfort in your many special memories and in the thought of the many happy years you shared.

We have lost a fine man. His sense of humor and his talent to weave a credible tale, especially the one about the plug, are part of Macaluso history. We have remembered it and laughed about it for decades. The times I spent at the Fusco home were so special--full of warmth and love. I hope those qualities are able to comfort you as you grieve the loss of this wonderful man.
