Please accept our condolences and sympathy on the passing of one of our PurdueSAE Brothers. I was a Purdue Freshman and in the Purdue SAE fall pledge class in September, 1959. Joe was a senior and starting halfback on the Purdue football team. He also was one of the first choices by the newly formed American League Football team, the Buffalo Bills, as well as a national SAE football All American.
As a freshman I looked up to him...as well as did all the other pledges and SAE brothers. At his 50th Purdue SAE reunion at our fraternity house on 406 Littleton in West Lafayette, Indiana on September 25, 2010, Joe and Judi were kind enough to share some of their company's wine and his copy of his newest book, "America ...a nation that's lost its way. what's Wrong With America! "
We will forever hold Joe dear to our hearts and a friend forever. May the Lord continue to look over and bless Joe and his family.

Laurie and I had the privilege, no the honor of meeting Joe and Judy 9 years ago and I will cherish everyday that I got to spend with Joe. There was never a day that when you met Joe that he didn't always had a smile and was happy to see you. Laurie and I will always hold dear to our hearts the times we spent sampling Joe's amazing wines after a day of picking blueberries. There aren't many truly nice people in the world anymore and the world just lost one in Joe. I'm not going to say goodbye to you for goodbyes are forever. I'm simply going to say until we meet again my friend, until we meet again. Our love goes out to Judy and the family.

what a great guy! what a great loss. he made everyone in his presence SMILE every time I've ever encountered him. I always thought he was one of the most pleasant people i have ever met. tolerant of everyone and non-judgemental of anyone. I am honored to have known Joe and will miss his sincerity & honesty. May we all carry on in his footsteps and continue to be just "that nice guy" like Joe always was (to everyone)
