Although I have talked with Joe many times I only had the opportunity to meet him in person once. I didn't even hear of his passing until recently in a conversation I brought up that it was about time that Joe called looking for current wind stats. He had some great ideas for his property in West Valley and would always call me at the Demonstration Project looking for the updates! I would have loved to have seen one of his dreams for the hill come to reality. I hope the wind blows your way in heaven, Joe!

Evelyn,
Just happenned to surf the internet to get in touch with Joe & you after so many years. That led to the shock of hearing about Joe's passing. You know how much I admired Joe and his values since our Buddah Records days. I would very much like to get in touch with you>

What can I say about Joe Zynczak? Joe was the most interesting person I have ever met. He was caring, sharing, knowledgeable, sensitive and the list goes on. I worked for him on and off for a period of 21 years. I will never forget the question he asked each day "So what's for lunch today Lee?" His love of life, family, friends, food and wine is something I incorporated in my life. He touched and inspired so many people throughout his life, may his legacy go on forever. He was like a father to me through many tough times with caring words or his bear hug, he will never be forgotten. You will surely be missed!
Love ya, Lisa

Joe was a regular who ate breakfast at the coffee shop "Astro" most mornings. He would always come in with the latest news from around the world. He was always up for a debate on world crisis and always had an opinion on how to make the world a better place. He always had a very positive outlook on life. He would always ask me about my "cycling" over the weekends because he knew that is what I loved best. I will miss seeing him at the coffee shop in the mornings.

Over the past few years, Joe and I had developed a professional alliance working on quite a few cases together. The Joe I knew was a warm, caring devoted man. His passing is a great loss.

As a memeber of the "breakfast" club I got to know Joe very well. We shared philosophies, love of the Yankees, business, fun things and our ultimate love for hot foods and the tabasco sause on the counter. .."Joe may I have the tabasco sauce.." Joe to me was a most imspirational, loveable, intelligent and ultra caring human being, with a zest for life. I was devastated when I heard the news this morning. I will miss Joe tremendously! His departure has created an abundance of saddness. He will always be with me, especially when I see the "tabasco" on the counter.
May his memory and good works never be forgotten. His buddy, Michael Raounas........

We were part of an informal breakfast club at Astros on 56th Street in NYC. Joe was one of the most informed, caring, good natured
and happy go lucky human being. He was looking forward to retiring and spending time with his family and his tree farm--among many pursuits. He genuinely liked people and people liked him. He graced this earth with such vitality and joy. He will be tremendously missed by all of us.

I received an e-mail from a friend in Albany saying she saw this notice in the NY TImes. Joe and I had been trying to have dinner for the last few weeks, but he was too busy to make it. He was a very dear friend and I will feel his loss forever. He helped me through some tough times over the last few years with my struggles with Lyme Disease, even writing a beautiful, supportive letter to Governor Pataki on my behalf and on behalf of all of those stricken with this hideous disease. Evelyn, I only met you once soon after your wedding, and I wish you and his boys (that's what he used to call them to me! He was so proud of them and what they acheived.) the best.
All my love,

Joe took a chance on an unproven kid when he gave me my first job in the entertainment industry. He was also my surrogate father during years I didn't have a good relationship with my real father. I will never forget him. God rest his soul.
