June McCARTHY Obituary
(nee McMahon)
Passed away on January 22, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Jeremiah R. McCarthy; dear mother of Mary Jo (Thomas) Lahiff, Hon. Jeremiah J. (Nancy) McCarthy, and June (late Robert) McCarthy-Dimmig; loving grandmother of the late Michael Lahiff, Elizabeth and Anne Lahiff, Ellen (Michael) Mitchell, Carol (William) Martino and Meghan (Peter) Doetschman, Brenna, Robert, Joseph and Sean Dimmig; mother-in-law of the late Robert Dimming; loving great-grandmother of nine great-grandchildren; sister of Margaret (late Edward) McNamara, Lillian (late William) Culhane, the late John L. McMahon, and late Dolores (late Lawrence) Halpin; also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will be present on Friday, January 28th, from 4-8 PM, at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3155 Orchard Park Rd., in Orchard Park, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 29th, at 10 AM, at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 6441 Seneca St., Springbrook, NY (please assemble at church). The interment will follow the mass at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Mount Mercy Academy and/or the Daughters of Erin. Mrs. McCarthy was a member of the Daughters of Erin. Online register book at www.CANNAFH.com

June was the first stenographer in my first jury trial in 1963. My client received a verdict of $7,000.00. June said "Eddie, go slower or you'll wear yourself out". A great lady. God Bless all the McMahons and McCarthys.
